Senior students engage in a weekly 2-hour associate class, which has been designed to run alongside their Mad4Dance training. As part of ADP associate training, all students take Advanced Ballet and Jazz Technique, developing their core technical skills.
Our students train in a range of styles to embrace their diversity and to become adaptable and versatile performers. Students need to be prepared with full uniform for all styles each week, ready to find out what class they will be taking on the day. We aim to nurture independent and forward thinking individuals who are prepared to deal with last-minute change with professionalism. Versatility training includes styles such as Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Jazz and Commercial.
Students receive ADP's Industry Mindset Tutorials, delving deep into core values and mindset skills. These tutorials elevate self-awareness, teach us how we can reshape our thought processes, and be better prepared for the demands of the dance industry. These skills are not only essential for your dance journey but also transferable to various career paths and all walks of life. We are proud to nurture well-rounded, resilient, and successful young performers through our enhanced Industry Mindset Training.
It has always been our mission to provide the most valuable, enriching and professional opportunities to our students. To maintain this high level of experience, it often involves substantial costs. While many programs struggle to provide these experiences within a year, I believe in the equal value of all these elements, making them essential for our students' preparation. We ensure that our students can participate in multiple, high-end opportunities per year by investing a proportion of money back into the programs each month, which is further spent on reducing costs to families for shows, experiences and performances.
Every year our students get to practice their audition skills and etiquettes in our ADP Mock Audition Day. Students take part in x3 audition classes with guest teachers in the morning, and perform solos to their audition panel in the afternoon. All ADP students receive an in depth individual feedback report with individual feedback and audition tips. This is an opportunity offered for free as part of our investment scheme.
Our show offers a unique opportunity for ADP students to experience the world of professional dance. They rehearse and perform in prominent roles within a close-knit cast, performing bigger roles, with more stage time and honing their skills. In addition to live performances, our shows involve dance film, giving students experience in performing for the camera.
ADP shows are a really special journey for our students. They provide opportunities for professional growth, such as video shoots, photoshoots, auditions, managing rehearsal schedules, focusing on nutrition, and working collaboratively. Some students even take on roles in overseen directing, choreography, production roles and more.
Committing to such an exciting project empowers our students, granting them invaluable skills and most importantly - VERY special memories are made!
Every year, we go on our annual trip to Move It London, and Can You Dance? Super Convention, Liverpool. Here, our students have the opportunity to perform at the UK's largest dance networking event, meet and talk with colleges and conservatoires and take the most amazing masterclasses with inspiring teachers. Extra performance opportunities are offered in addition such as Her Majesty's Theatre in the heart of the West End.
We are incredibly lucky to have our own Resident Photographer as part of ADP - Elliot Coulter Photography, who is passionate about fostering professional growth among our students.
Elliot is a highly skilled professional commercial photographer with extensive experience working in the arts and events, with renowned artists such as Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha, Sam Smith, Niall Horan, Chris Evans, and Elton John.
Elliot provides our students with professional headshots ready for applications and auditions, and provides multiple creative opportunities teaching our students how to work with a camera both for photo, and dance for film. He has played a pivotal
role in enhancing our program's creativity through videography for showcases, marketing, and overall student experience.
Our Musical Theatre students are constantly gathering repetoire for their Song and Monologue Portfolios too.
Students on our Musical Theatre pathway take part in an additional Musical Theatre class to develop their acting through song skills. During these classes, students will be prepared to take an optional exam with Dang Theatre & Dance. This syllabus has been created for students to learn and develop technical skills relevant to the requirements of the industry today, preparing songs, sheet music, monologues, interview prep and more. In turn, our ADP students are building a strong portfolio to take with them into their future auditions and careers.
The Dang Syllabus is carefully crafted to shape triple-threat performers and focuses on a holistic process of nurturing talent through training. This encompasses the development of confidence, creativity, employability in a range of skills, audition preparation, effective communication, and critical and contextual thinking.
Students have the opportunity to be assessed for their pre-pointe assessment to embark on their pointe training in a specialised Pointe-work classes, further enhancing their technical ballet development.
The ADP Creative Appreciation Award acknowledges students' dedication to their artistic growth and creativity. This annual award within our ADP Gold Program provides recipients with opportunities for additional performance experiences, either as soloists or in duos.
This award was introduced to emphasise that true artists don't compete but rather celebrate and appreciate each other's unique forms of originality and style. Our mission is to encourage students to explore their artistic style and creativity and recognise these qualities in others.
There are multiple opportunities on the program for students to develop their creativity and sense of self. We are always coming up with new initiatives and ideas alongside our core program elements.
We would love our M4D students to ask for a Student Interest Form if they would like to be considered for ADP!
